SUMMARY

The Endpoint Administrator leverages modern enterprise solutions design, implement, deploy, and maintain configurations for operating systems and applications across all company-owned devices. This role collaborates closely with both internal and external IT teams to provide innovative solutions for new OS or software deployments and to troubleshoot issues with existing systems. The Endpoint Administrator is responsible for testing, installing, and deploying various operating systems using industry-standard tools, ensuring a balance between security and usability. Additionally, this role oversees the patch management process for all endpoint devices to maintain optimal security and performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Endpoint Configuration Management: Design, implement, and maintain configurations for operating systems and applications using tools like SCCM, Intune), Jamf, JumpCloud and Group Policy.
  • Patch Management: Oversee the patch management process to ensure all endpoint devices are up-to-date with the latest security patches and software updates.
  • Security Compliance: Ensure endpoint devices comply with the organization’s security policies and standards, including antivirus and endpoint protection solutions.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for endpoint-related issues, collaborating with internal and external IT teams to resolve complex problems. Assist in training of support staff as needed.
  • Deployment and Imaging: Manage the deployment and imaging of operating systems and applications across all company-owned devices, ensuring a smooth and efficient rollout.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the performance and health of endpoint devices, generating reports and analytics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Policy Development: Develop and enforce policies related to endpoint management, ensuring they align with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Training and Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for endpoint management processes and provide training to IT staff and end-users as needed.
  • Vendor Management: Work with vendors to evaluate and implement new endpoint management tools and technologies, ensuring they meet the organization’s needs.
  • Project Management: Lead and participate in projects related to endpoint management, including new software implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Compliance and Auditing: Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, addressing any identified issues promptly.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve endpoint management processes and technologies, staying current with industry trends and advancements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 3-5 years of experience in SCCM, system vulnerability patching, management, and deployment
  • Experience managing SCCM with multiple distribution points
  • Experience using Jamf or JumpCloud
  • Experience implementing solutions on an enterprise-grade network
  • Detailed knowledge of various OS's including Windows 10/11, Mac OS, and Linux OS
  • Proficient knowledge in the installation and maintenance of server systems
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft platforms and solutions such as Active Directory, Azure
  • Proficient networking knowledge including LAN, WAN, and wireless configuration

Desired

  • Working knowledge of IT service, change and problem management (ITIL Foundation)
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies like Azure, AWS, GCP
  • Knowledge of Web Services and programming languages like JSON, PowerShell, Python
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience using API protocols
