Honeybee Robotics is seeking an organized and efficient Production Planner to coordinate the timely movement of materials and parts through our manufacturing process for custom-engineered parts and equipment. As a successful Production Planner, you will create schedules based on your understanding of lead, set-up, and transaction times and be proactive in solving any snags that arise. Your main responsibility is to keep production moving smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate material logistics to ensure timely delivery of finished products to customers.
- Deploy supply requirements via ERP (IFS) to meet production, inventory, and cost objectives.
- Review supply and demand in ERP to ensure the availability of materials for production.
- Manage receipt, inventory, and distribution of raw materials and finished goods, including shipment to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and transactions, including Customer Furnished Property.
- Resolve issues and move orders forward to achieve on-time delivery.
- Interface with key stakeholders to facilitate parts movement and demand release.
- Allocate inventory and create shop orders in ERP for material procurement.
- Maintain receiving inspection priorities.
- Analyze and control production workflow to meet capacity requirements and provide status updates.
- Coordinate cross-functionally to monitor material flow and work prioritization from order receipt to project closeout.
- Track production volume and monitor customer demand and purchasing trends.
- Plan the timely release of shop orders and material kits based on production demand.
- Lead and energize positive change, initiate problem investigations, and mentor junior peers.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in materials management, logistics, or planning in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree, relevant training, or an APICS certificate.
- Strong understanding of configuration management, supply chain, material control, manufacturing, and shipping processes.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with shop orders and mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of import/export requirements and international shipping.
- Understanding of LEAN concepts and best practices.
- Strong communication skills for explaining detailed issues and encouraging group problem-solving.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Positive mindset and style that promotes teamwork and collaboration.

Pay is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
