Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions group is seeking a first level (Level 1) Systems Administration Manager to lead and supervise a dynamic team of IT and technical professionals (Sys Admins, Network Admins, and Info Assurance Analysts) in Morrisville, NC. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems sector support team.
The qualified applicant will support operations at our Morrisville, NC campus, and will be required to work on-site, full-time; please note that this is NOT a remote work opportunity.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Direct supervision/management of a staff of approximately 5 team members.
Interact with internal key executives and customers on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
Provide guidance and oversight to employees to complete key deliverables.

This individual will provide innovative solutions that create strategic value to our customers.

Basic Qualifications:
- Master’s degree with 3 years of Information Technology experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of Information Technology experience; OR an Associates degree with 7 years of Information Technology experience; OR a High School Diploma/GED with 9 years of Information Technology experience is required
- Candidates must have a DOD 8570 IAT level II certification (example: Security+ CE)
- Experience working on Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, servers, virtualization, and/or Linux server administration
- Minimum of 2 years functional leadership, team supervision, team lead, or project management experience
- General understanding of network topology, network infrastructure, and/or data center operations
- The ability to work after hours, and weekends, as needed
- Candidates must have a current DOD Top Secret/SCI level security clearance and a recent Polygraph [adjudicated within the last 5 years] in order to be considered
- Must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment
Preferred Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Information Technology (or similar STEM related discipline), a Security+ CE, and 4 years of Windows or Linux server administration experience
- Prior management experience is desirable
- Experience in Information Systems Security Management function related to classified computing environments nice to have
- Experience managing geographically diverse technical groups, servicing multiple customers
- Experience working on technical activities in a classified environment
- Active CASP, CISSP, or similar DoD 8570 IAM Level II (or Level III) security certification would be ideal

Salary Range: $104,600.00 - $156,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
