We are looking for someone who is passionate about writing for all level of audiences, building and executing communications campaigns, translating complex subjects into compelling content, and cultivating relationships with teammates and stakeholders. Reporting to the MDS Communications Manager, you will work closely with a cross-functional team and business leaders to create strategic, omni-channel communications that tell our story to key audiences and stakeholders. You also will collaborate with other communicators across the enterprise to help inform the strategy and approach to communications.
This role requires someone who is passionate about writing and the ability to capture the voice of executives to communicate to employees and the business community.

In this role, you will:
Support BU mission-centric and/or missile defense portfolio communications designed to elevate our business and supporting the development of integrated communications plans and their execution (org announcements, newsletters, podcasts, all-hands, videos, speeches, presentations, media engagements, social media)
Partner with functionals to develop thought leadership and executive communications products to drive performance, reputation and engagement.
Partner with internal teams to develop content in support of Launch and Missile Defense Systems (division), Space Systems (sector), and enterprise priorities, ensuring message alignment and consistency across audiences.
Partner with internal and external teams to track and report on communications performance metrics against defined objectives.
This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3.
Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Business or other liberal arts field, and experience in communications, media, marketing, and/or public relations, with a minimum of 3 years of communications experience in an enterprise organization. -OR- Master’s degree, preferably in in communications, media, marketing, and/or public relations with a minimum of 1 years of communications experience in an enterprise organization.
Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance. U.S. Citizenship is a pre-requisite.

Preferred Qualifications for Both Level 2 or Level 3:
Proven track record of developing and tracking impact of executive communications, including strong writing ability, executive presence, judgement, and agility.
Proven ability to develop messaging and related storytelling content for a wide range of audiences across communication channels and events.
Experience with integrated communications strategy within complex organizations.
Excellent project management, collaboration, and presentation skills, and demonstrated ability to find new ways of connecting with audiences.
Aerospace and defense industry experience, and familiarity with DoD and global government customers.
Demonstrated knowledge of Associated Press style writing
Applied knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products; Smartsheet, SharePoint, PoliteMail, Qualtrics, etc.
Active Department of Defense Secret security clearance. U.S. Citizenship is a pre-requisite.
Experience and skill developing storyboards, writing scripts, filming videos, conducting video interviews, video editing, and video compilation and production.
Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere.

Salary Range: $65,500.00 - $103,200.00Salary Range 2: $80,600.00 - $127,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
