Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Manager (K Level) to join our Space Launch Systems at Kennedy Space Center, FL.

We are seeking a dynamic leader to join our Quality Assurance team with a proven track record of leading change, inspiring others, and challenging the status quo. In this role, you will be driving improvements to our QMS and within the program to ensure teams are prepared for and continuously improving with the goal of zero injuries, zero defects, and zero FOD. The selected candidate will have the unique opportunity to transform the work we do, continuously growing and developing our teams, and integrating cross-functionally and across organizations and the enterprise.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment
  • Develops functional excellence for Quality across the SLS Program
  • Works with other management partners across organizational and functional boundaries to execute the SLS program work scope, drive improvements and corrective actions, identify and mitigate areas of risk, and proactively work to increase first time quality.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners.
  • Provides education and coaching while leading change and improvement.
  • Facilitates proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data.
  • Champions key initiatives such as; Safety risk Management, BPSM, analytics-based decision making, forward looking measures, standardized work, and structured problem-solving.
  • Demonstrates the Boeing values

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance for access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • 3+ years of experience in a production-related field such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, and/or Supplier Quality.
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication and/or manufacturing.
  • 3+ years of experience working with and supporting Quality Management System (QMS).
  • 1+ year of experience leading or building teams
  • 1+ year of experience working in IQDS/CLEaR or equivalent corrective action system
  • Experience leading and working with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work any shift based on the needs of the business

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • 5+ years of experience in a production-related field such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, and/or Supplier Quality.
  • High proficiency in written and verbal communication.
  • 3+ years of experience team building, developing and motivating employees
  • Experience with manufacturing assembly processes
  • Experience using lean manufacturing and/or continuous Improvement practices and tools.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary pay range: $115,200 - $147,200
