About the role:

  • Act as the on-hand technical expert, guiding the team in the application of US GAAP rules
  • Prepare all reports, including those for debt lenders and investors
  • Lead the audit process and compile the Financial Statement Notes
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP
  • Monitor and implement new accounting standards
  • Review Federal Trial Balance (TB) for inconsistencies, interfacing with the Federal finance team
  • Review SAS entity GL transactional data; identify and implement French GAAP to US GAAP conversions. This involves: Understand French GAAP statutory reporting and quarterly travel to France to understand French statutory reporting
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations and elimination transactions between the parent and all subsidiaries

Must Haves:

  • 6-10 years of experience; with at least part of that time being spent in Big 4, at a public company in an SEC reporting role, or similar
  • CPA license
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP
  • Proven ability to lead the audit process and compile Financial Statement Notes
  • Ability to research and provide technical accounting guidance for complex transactions and financial reporting issues, and explain them in simple, easy-to-understand terms
  • Experience with intercompany reconciliations and elimination transactions between the parent and subsidiaries
  • Willingness to travel to France 1x per quarter

State law requires us to tell you the base compensation range for this role, which is $175,000- $200,000 per year which is determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.  The salary range for this role is intentionally wide as we evaluate individuals based on their unique experience and abilities to fit our needs.
