PREPARE FOR IMPACT! 
The IT Solutions Specialist is an on site role, contract role responsible for ensuring continuity in executing IT-centric and cross-functional initiatives. The Specialist will collaborate with various teams to design solutions, streamline operations, and implement automation for IT tasks. Additionally, this role will maintain meticulous records, assist with technical integration, and act as an escalation point for complex IT support requests. Under the guidance of the Director of IT, the incumbent will: 
  • Lead the execution of the full project lifecycle for IT-centric and cross-functional initiatives, guiding projects from initiation to deployment
  • Collaborate with various teams to identify technical problems, design solutions, pilot new concepts, and deliver clear, actionable documentation and training
  • Conduct thorough analysis and research on existing systems to evaluate integration opportunities and challenges
  • Perform proof of concepts and tests to assess potential integrations, ensuring they align with business goals and technical feasibility
  • Communicate with vendors, negotiate SOWs, pricing, and expectations
  • Implement automation solutions to improve the efficiency of day-to-day IT support tasks
  • Maintain meticulous records of IT processes and systems to ensure consistency and facilitate smooth handovers
  • Work across departments to streamline operations and support the tech solution selection process, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals, with guidance from senior staff
  • Lead technical integration between subsidiaries
  • Perform tasks typical of a Senior Systems Administrator, including server and network management, troubleshooting, and suppor
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex or emergency IT support requests, referring critical issues to senior staff when necessary
YOUR PAST MISSIONS 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
  • Combination of 8-10 years of experience providing technical support to enterprises and building, executing, and maintaining various IT projects
  • 5+ years’ experience with:
    • LAN/WAN Administration, Active Directory, Virtualization, Microsoft 365 Platform, Email Migrations, M&A Integrations
    • Strong MacOS and Linux Administration
    • Scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
    • Experience with TCP/IP networking, IP Telephony, Wireless, Switching & Routing, VLANs, and 802.1x
    • Automation software such as Zapier, n8n, Make
  • 5+ years of experience with:
    • Cloud Administration such as AWS, Azure, GCP
    • SaaS administration such as Microsoft 365, Okta, NetSuite, HubSpot
    • Systems and network automation
    • MDM, Configuration Management
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience is accepted
YOUR TOOLKIT 
Required: 
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco, Microsoft, Apple and UNIX/Linux based environments
  • Strong knowledge in networking, telecom and server technologies
  • Proven experience in project planning and development
  • Ability to self-manage and adopt to project changes quickly
  • Ability to interpret complex concepts with simple analogies 
  • Effective vendor and contract management skills

YOUR COMPENSATION
Base Salary Range: $6,500 to $8,500 monthly

The range of $6,500 to $8,500 monthly, depends on job-related skills, experience, training, education, location and business needs. The range is based on BC-derived compensation for this role. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Only in rare and exceptional circumstances, when a candidate has the experience, skills, and expertise to exceed those required for the position, would we consider paying at the top of the range for this role.

This is an on-site position with the requirement to work out of our downtown Vancouver office. It is a contract position for a 6-8 week term. Some overtime (evenings and weekends) may be required.
