We are seeking a Staff Systems Engineer located within the United Kingdom, supporting Operations & Maintenance for a variety of systems.
This position monitors remote assets in a real-time, 24x7 operational environment.
Specific duties include, but is not limited to:
 Real-time operation of complex electronic data processing and communications systems for the United States Government.
 Perform preliminary analysis of various data to monitor ongoing system performance and to make configuration changes which enhance or improve system performance.
 Review all system configuration changes and implement those changes.
 Identify and communicate areas where process or system improvements could deliver efficiency, drive cost savings, or reduce operational risk.
 Document significant events, equipment issues or failures and system problems and implement any recommended resolutions.
 Clearly communicate anomalous observations and events to supporting engineering staff, senior LM management and Customers.
 Participate in system anomaly troubleshooting and recovery procedures and processes.
 Support a crew schedule consisting of rotating 12-hours shifts covering 24x7 operations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in an environment responsible for monitoring and configuring real-time operational assets for complex electronic data processing and communications systems.
- Must have demonstrated ability to perform in a real-time operational environment.
- Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills.
 The ability to perform in a small team environment is essential.
 Must be willing to work a 12-hours rotating shift schedule in order to provide 24x7 operations coverage.
- Self-starter, motivated and willing to take on additional responsibilities.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated polygraph within the past three (3) years or currently supporting at OCONUS (United Kingdom) site already.
- Willingness to relocate to customer OCONUS site location.
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity or prior experience/certification with systems supported on the CHIMERA contract.
- Immediate availability is highly desired.
- Basic knowledge of RF and electronics principles.
- Be able to read and follow technical flow diagrams, troubleshoot subsystem level problems and expand troubleshooting to system level.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
