This position is for a Manufacturing Engineering Associate Manager supporting multiple programs in the electronics assembly and harness facility in Courtland, AL! This position could require some travel and support to other manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to leading the technical team daily to meet engineering requirements, schedule and cost commitments, providing production status to leadership.

Other primary responsibilities will include:

• Provide manufacturing engineer supervision, employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, and assignment of engineering tasks.
• Lead the team for shop floor support, maintaining manufacturing plans, tooling requirements, engineering change implementation and coordinating changes in the build process within an electrical/mechanical manufacturing facility.
• Design manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
• Design of machine layout within plant facilities to ensure most efficient production capabilities.
• Create procedures and operations for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
• Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
• Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigating and initiating corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
• Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.
• Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
• Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
• Communicate with inter-organizational and outside customer contacts on routine matters and provide solutions to a variety of technical problems.
Basic Qualifications:
• Manufacturing experience in harness assembly, integration, and/or test operations.

• Experience leading a technical team effort in a manufacturing factory environment.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Interim Secret clearance required prior to start.
Desired Skills:
• Formal or informal leadership experience.
• Experience presenting to senior government and/or Lockheed Martin leaders.
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Space Systems or industry equivalent processes (Earn Value Management Systems, Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Work Instructions, Routings, Production Orders, Bill of Materials, Qnotes, FFMEAs, FOE/FOD, etc.).
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Space Systems or industry equivalent tools (ERP/SAP, Apriso, EPDM, VECAMS, PMP Database, etc.)
• Lean Manufacturing experience and/or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certifications.
• Experience with Electro Static Discharge (ESD)
• Proven Leadership and Management of Aerospace and Manufacturing products.
• Proven communication skills between Program, Engineering and Manufacturing.
• Proven production in flow troubleshooting skills.
• Basic harness tooling and formboard development
• Basic knowledge of 3D Printing.
• Must have the ability to work independently with little to no direction.
• Experience with design reviews
• Experience with working in a development environment

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
