Senior CloudOps Engineer

What we can do together

You will be a key member of an Agile development squad working with and building up diverse digital platform technologies.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • the design and effective implementation and deployment of distributed/cloud software systems
  • collaborating with different technical and business stakeholders (internal and external) to identify and define the best system solutions
  • translating business requirements into technical designs and specifications
  • translating technical designs and specifications in working platforms and software
  • ensuring conformity between system implementation and requirements, up to the delivery of an operational solution
  • defining and maintaining operational procedures and guidelines
  • maintaining a commitment to best practices in cybersecurity, cloud data management, maintainability, and overall craftsmanship
  • continually learning and sharing best practices across teams to benefit the entire organization.

About you

We are looking for an engineer with significant experience working on complex software systems and big data. Specifically, you should have:

  • at least 5 years of hands-on experience with distributed software systems
  • good understanding of security best practices and their application to distributed environments: network, user access, etc.
  • a good experience on Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Kubernetes as a Service (KaaS) technologies with a DevOps view
  • knowledge (packaging, deployment, configuration, monitoring, and administration) of several of the following products: Red Hat IPA, Keycloak, OpenSSH, GitLab, Vault, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Thanos, Ansible, Terraform, Argo Flow, Dataiku, ServiceNow, BMC, JIRA ITSM, MinIO, PostgreSQL, Elastic Search, MongoDB, Cassandra, Kong API GW, WSO2
  • a good understanding the fundamental processes of ITIL
  • programming knowledge
  • strong communication skills, including verbal and written proficiency in English.
     

Additional skills and experience in any of the following topics would be highly valued:

  • hands on experience with virtualization and IaaS technologies (e.g. OpenStack, VMWare ESx)
  • DB Administration and Operations experience
  • expertise in cybersecurity
  • working proficiency in French.
