As an IT Infrastructure Manager at ALL.SPACE, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's information technology infrastructure and ensuring that our IT systems are reliable, efficient, and secure. You will lead a team of IT professionals, manage technology projects, and work closely with other departments to support and enhance their technology needs. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise and excellent leadership skills to drive continuous improvement and innovation in our IT operations.

The IT Infrastructure Manager is an accomplished technical leader. At this role level, you will:

  • develop strategic and tactical engineering roadmaps for technologies and services in your area of responsibility, ensuring they're future-proofed and that the organisation derives maximum value from investment in technologies
  • own the operational relationships with suppliers, ensuring services and products are delivered and aligned to industry best practice and regulatory and contractual requirements
  • work with the IT and Service Desk teams to ensure the environment can support the companyโ€™s business systems and applications.
  • lead and direct infrastructure and service desk teams in building, managing, supporting and maintaining solutions according to departmental policy under the IT Director.

Requirements

  • Oversee the IT environment, including Hyper-V, Azure, AWS, network, communications, Microsoft 365, Entra, InTune, and related platforms.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Ensure all computer systems are implemented according to corporate standards and managed securely.
  • Design and implement system security measures, such as firewalls, anti-malware, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Manage security and costs of Azure and AWS PaaS environments.
  • Assist with Vulnerability and Patch Management to meet Cyber Essentials Plus standards.
  • Maintain operating environments to remain safe, secure, and compliant with the companyโ€™s security certifications.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Work with the IT Director to develop and implement IT policies and procedures.
  • Identify and resolve incidents promptly to maintain user satisfaction, and report performance metrics to the IT Director monthly.
  • Work within the IT budget for procuring hardware, software, and services, and escalate exceptions to the IT Director. Support IT Director in preparing budgets.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for infrastructure support and maintenance.
  • Stay informed on the latest technologies and best practices and recommend enhancements to the IT Director.
  • Mentor and guide a team of IT professionals.
  • Use and maintain IT Service Management software, monitor service ticket assignments, and ensure proper delegation through the Service Desk.

Qualification and Education Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 yearsโ€™ experience in a similar or equivalent role.
  • A technical qualification, either at College or University level, would be advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of current and emerging technologies, including cloud, virtualisation and networking.
  • Proven experience leading and managing a team of engineers.
  • Excellent organisation, time management and project management skills.
