Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, Our Defense Systems wants you to join our Team as a Final Assembly Inspector 4. This position is located on site at our Lake Charles, LA Location.

In this position you will perform Final Inspector duties in support of our Fabrications Center.

**This position requires working any shift as needed by the program needs.

Roles and responsibilities (but not be limited to) the following:

  • Ensure final inspections are properly performed on all work completed prior to aircraft being released for Return to Service (RTS) and return aircraft to service in a timely manner.

  • Ensure compliance of FAA and Government Ground Operating Procedures.

  • Determine requirements to conduct post maintenance check flights/functional check flights & provide inspection criteria interpretation to maintenance staff.

  • Maintain logbooks and other quality records.

  • Aid in the development and implementation of procedures for preliminary inspections, hidden damage inspections, inspection continuity, and final inspections of all maintenance activities to ensure compliance with applicable procedures, as required

  • Responsible for accurate and timely execution of all required inspection records, reports and forms.

  • Perform quality checks on incoming materials to determine airworthiness prior to being approved for installation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certification

  • High School diploma or equivalent and at least 6 years of Military/commercial large aircraft maintenance experience

  • Knowledge of FAA airworthiness requirements.

  • US Citizenship.

  • Able to work in confined spaces.

  • Experience working with Operations, Program, Quality, Shipping/Receiving, DCMA, Safety, HR, and Security

  • AS9100 and AS9102 FAI report Experience required

  • Possess or be able to quickly obtain a DoD secret security clearance.

  • Possess or be able to quickly obtain a US passport.  

  • Able to work in Lake Charles, Louisiana

  • Able and willing to work any shift.

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 Years or more years of Quality Control Inspector experience

  • 707 Aircraft Experience

  • Aircraft Maintenance Experience

  • DoD Maintenance program experience

  • NG Organizational Knowledge

  • MESA Experience

  • CADSTAR

Salary Range: $70,400.00 - $117,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
