Title: Director of Mission Assurance

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Range: $120,000 - $240,000

(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Position Purpose: The Director of Mission Assurance leads all Mission Assurance disciplines across BCT.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads the Mission Assurance Department which includes Mission Assurance Managers (MAMs), Reliability, Radiation and other Specialty Engineering disciplines that provide Mission Success support across all BCT programs
  • Participate in Material Review Board and Failure Review Board activities as required
  • Acts as a point of contact and leads discussions with customer senior technical officials
  • Ensures that Company Reliability Assurance and Radiation Assurance Programs are developed, maintained, and implemented
  • Actively participates and acts as an independent reviewer in design, production/test readiness, and other reviews and audits with the ability to make risk-informed decisions for Mission Success.
  • Provides leadership in the identification, mitigation, and communication of Mission Assurance status and Risks to BCT Executive Management.
  • Oversee performance, development and mentoring of the Mission Assurance team
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

 

Required Qualifications/Education:

  • 15 years’ experience in a key Mission Assurance role throughout entire program
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry, etc.).
  • Experience in all of the following disciplines: Quality Assurance, System Safety Engineering, Environment/Safety/Health, Reliability, Parts Engineering, and Materials and Processes.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems and processes
  • Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education


Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.  BCT anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.
