Northrop Grumman Space Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include satellites and associated space components and services; launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; and advanced aerospace structures.

The Mission Enabling Products business unit is seeking an Administrative Assistant 2 located in Commerce, CA. Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating a broad variety of operating unit events, meetings, and teleconferences and creating a great atmosphere for all employees to work in.
  • Managing multiple priorities and actions simultaneously.
  • Supporting calendars and scheduling meetings, to include all support necessary to facilitate meetings, often in close coordination with other administrative assistants across the company
  • Arranging travel and processing expense reports in a timely manner
  • Supporting the creation of presentations and operating unit communications
  • Ordering and managing refreshments and luncheons for meetings
  • Ordering and managing inventory of office supplies
  • Supporting the security team by greeting and escorting visitors
  • Supporting the onboarding of new hires
  • Timecard Administrator – ensuring employees timecards are completed accurately and timely

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years additional education and/or experience supporting management.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, working independently with minimum supervision
  • Proactive, with the ability to anticipate needs of the business
  • Highly motivated and adaptable, including the ability to juggle multiple tasks, changing needs, and competing priorities in a positive manner
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Attention to detail with experience proofreading and correcting documents for grammatical and spelling errors.
  • Experience with Travel and expense reporting systems
  • US Citizenship required

Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with Northrop Grumman (NG) policies and procedures
  • Familiarity with NG systems (Concur, iBuy, iTrip, and other NG tools)

Salary Range: $44,600.00 - $74,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
