Honeybee Robotics is seeking a Manufacturing Technician IV. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in the assembly of prototypes and space flight equipment, demanding meticulous attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership. Our workplace is dynamic, characterized by a continuous stream of challenging tasks, and we operate as a mission-driven team.

Responsiblities:

  • Use mechanical aptitude to assemble mechanical and robotic equipment
  • Read blueprints and drawings accurately to assemble equipment
  • Work in a clean room environment, adhering to all FOD prevention requirements
  • Use hand tools, such as wrenches, ratchets, and screwdrivers
  • Occasional work with manual machines, i.e., lathe and a mill
  • Inspect and verify the quality of finished work with precision measurement tools
  • Interpret data from optical flatness reports.  Conduct air tests
  • Enter data to track process steps, parts, materials, and time
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear the required personal safety equipment
  • Collaborate as part of the engineering team, communicating issues promptly with the intent to resolve problems

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of aerospace mechanical clean room and space flight hardware experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Able to read blueprints and shop drawings
  • Able to use precision measuring tools, such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
  • Able to use various hand and machine tools
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment operating in a complex system of electronics, avionics, hydraulics, etc.
  • Basic computer aptitude to learn data entry systems and to use Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Must show a customer-service mindset for on-time delivery and quality workmanship

Physical Requirements:

  • Be able to stand for long periods of time, and frequently lift up to 25 lbs
  • Must have a full range of hand and upper-body motion

Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
