About the Role

Are you ready for a new opportunity in a growing company and a rewarding industry? Come join us as a Janitor! In this role, you will keep our buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, removing rubbish, vacuuming, etc. You'll follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment and maintain/repair motorized cleaning equipment. Your duties will also include managing supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance and notifying management of the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Office area:

Surface clean daily
Vacuum weekly
Sweep all hard surface floors.
Damp mop hard surface floor areas
Remove fingerprints, smudges, etc. from doors, doorframes, partition glass, sidelights, walls, and around light switches
Glass and windows cleaning weekly
Spot clean carpet daily
Empty trash office trash daily
Dust all art work and picture frames

Break area:

Surface clean twice daily
Wipe tables, chairs and countertops daily
Replace the water dispensers and coffee machine 5-gallon water jugs as needed
Restock drinks to all refrigerators daily
Restock paper products as needed
Vacuum & carpet spot cleaning daily
Empty trash daily
Wipe outside wastebaskets daily
Clean four microwaves daily
Clean four refrigerator weekly

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 1-3 or more years of relevant experience
Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of required education
A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
Ability to complete scheduled, routine tasks quickly and efficiently without close supervision
Must be capable of climbing stairs, ladders, and working on a stationary ladder
Familiarity with the safe use of tools and cleaning products

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience as a janitor
Experience working with hand and power tools
