Maxar Intelligence is currently seeking an Imagery Systems Engineer to join our team in Longmont, CO.

Your Project: In this role, you will be responsible for the monitoring, troubleshooting, and verification of the Maxar factory flow from order through delivery for various customers. This position will work closely with support staff in the Mission Operations Center (MOC) to ensure product delivery and timelines are met.

What you'll do day-to-day (with your colleagues): 

  • Monitor data flows from planning, product generation and into layout through delivery 

  • Execute collection strategies in support of project, and real time, and tasking requirements 

  • Effectively communicate issues through established incident management guidelines 

  • Perform necessary ground troubleshooting when an issue occurs by following an established set of procedures 

  • Work with MOC personnel during anomaly resolution 

  • Communicate effectively with leads and engineers when troubleshooting beyond the scope of existing procedures 

  • Understand the ordering practices and product offerings at Maxar, to include order entry types and different production paths 

  • Troubleshoot and read system logs on software through the order/planning/production/delivery chain 

  • Consistently follow system changes through document notification, ticketing updates, meeting attendance, etc. 

 

Minimum requirements for this position: 

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, geography, remote sensing, GIS, or related field. Four additional years of experience in related field may be substituted for a degree 

  • Minimum of 2 year of experience in project and/or task management 

  • Must be willing and able to perform 24/7 rotational shift work 

 

These skills would be amazing: 

  • 1+ year of experience with Unix/Linux 

  • 1+ year of experience scripting and database knowledge

  • Experience with GIS technology

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$59,000.00 - $99,000.00 annually.
