The Intermediate Operations Data Analyst is responsible for preparing various analysis and coordination activities to support the decision making of the Operations Management team and other senior leadership groups as needed.  This role reports to the Director of Operations and is well suited for a New Grad who enjoys variety in the tasks they do and is interested in gaining exposure to many facets of the business as part of a cross department function. 

Tasks:

  • Preparing timely reports to track and monitor financial status, various analysis, or tracking metrics and KPI’s to enable leaders to make informed decisions.
  • Building automated business intelligence reports and dashboards based upon multiple operational databases.
  • Analyzing data to identify problem areas and suggest improvements.
  • The preparation and development of Operations tracking reports based on financial, business performance, workforce, project, and other business process metrics as needed.
  • Organizing activities within Operations and possibly with other departments.
  • Taking on special projects depending on current business needs.
  • Providing input on process changes or support the development of new processes.
  • Documenting workflows and business processes as required.
  • Ad-hoc assignments as required.
  • Support business development and program teams in project planning.
  • Assists in facility analysis to support space optimization.
  • Assists in procurement analysis to support supply chain management.
  • Support special continuous improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with different teams, maintain and facilitate various interdepartmental meetings, presentations and reports.
  • Any other related job-related tasks.
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality and diplomacy when handling reports of a sensitive and confidential nature.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or operations management.
  • Ideally, 1 or 2 years of operations experience, including internships or co-op experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with a good command of business intelligence tools (ideally PowerBI).
  • Advanced MS Excel skills: VLOOKUP, MATCH, INDEX, Pivot Tables, Charts & Graphs.
  • Strong skills with MS Word, PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with process flow tools such as MS Visio.
  • Experience with SharePoint, JIRA and Confluence an asset.
  • Skills with ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning), cloud computing and databases an asset.
  • Highly motivated, self-learner and technically inquisitive.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Strong collaborative communication approach.
  • Comfortable taking on a variety of tasks with competing priorities.
  • Self starter with strong organization and time management skills.
  • Team player with a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Essential knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

Salary:

The compensation range for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 annually. The specific compensation offered will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate
