What You’ll Do:

As a Junior Data Analyst you will be directly contributing to Slingshot Aerospace’s renowned, Seradata database, the leading and most comprehensive global dataset on Satellite and Launch activity. You will be part of Slingshot Aerospace’s International Business Unit’s Research and Intelligence department and form part of the Data Team reporting to the Head of R&I. The Data Team ensures that the Seradata database is updated daily to properly represent what is occurring in the global Space industry, as well as working on its best-in-class historical dataset to ensure its quality and substance.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Works as part of a data and results oriented team to input accurate and timely data into the database product
  • Assist in the collection, analysing, and interpreting of data from space and satellite missions.
  • Responsibility for the maintenance and quality of a segment of the database, reporting directly to the Head of R&I
  • Aide in the visualisation of the data, collaborating with other analysts and departments where required
  • Support wider company needs across other product data requirements, as requested
  • Ability to conduct internet-based research dives to find information and solve data-related queries
  • Able to adapt fluidly to urgent new directions when they occur to satisfy requirements
  • To be able to contribute to group tasks and take on solo projects confidently
  • Executes all position responsibilities in alignment with Slingshot’s core values, mission, and purpose
  • Perform other duties as assigned (to be less than 10% of the responsibilities listed above)

Minimum Requirements

  • A Degree in a relevant subject (Sciences preferable)
  • A good standard of computer literacy
  • Ability self-motivation when remote working
  • Capacity for travel when required (including international trips on occasion)

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to write article/report pieces of content
  • Industry experience
  • Interest in Space and the subject matter
