What is the role?
We are looking for a Site Manager in Greece. You will be responsible for the following activities:
- Preparing and leading our new manufacturing site, ensuring readiness for operations, e.g. infrastructure, utilities, equipment installations, local service procurement, etc.
- Onboarding, leading and developing the local team, managing their performance and allocation of resources
- Leading everyday site activities, supported by global functions, including planning, assembly-integration-testing, inventory management, quality control
- Setting up, maintaining, and continuously improving efficient and high quality site operations
- Collaborating to solve site-related issues with global ICEYE teams such as Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, IT & Security, Finance, HR
- Fostering a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Owning the facility and other local agreements, ensuring local requirements are fulfilled and the company operates in compliance with them
- Promoting a culture of safety and sustainability and overseeing that both global and local HSE and Sustainability requirements are fulfilled
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure ICEYE Greece company operates in an efficient and effective manner
- Participating in building the local space ecosystem with private companies, public entities, and universities
Requirements
What will you need to be successful in this role?
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in both English and Greek languages is mandatory
- 15 years of career experience with proven - at least 3 years - experience in managing teams, preferably in a manufacturing context
- Proven experience in managing a site, department or team with/within a site and physical infrastructure
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field e,g. Engineering, Operations Management, or International Business, M.Sc. preferred
- Systematic, very well-organized, meticulous, analytical. Ability to problem-solve, make decisions under pressure, and drive results
- Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
In addition to the above, it would be beneficial if you had the below attributes and skills:
- Experience in the space industry
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and local regulations incl. health and safety, and import/export procedures
