What You’ll Do:

As a Software Developer for the International Business Unit of Slingshot Aerospace, you will plan, design, develop and test software systems and applications for the suite of products in the business, specifically the Seradata database. You will work alongside the Technology and Product teams to support the development of creative solutions that meet customer needs, as well as continuously monitor the functionality of existing software, ensuring cyber compliance and security.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Produce software applications to meet customer requirements / specifications
  • Design new features for satellite analysis software to provide customers with a richer experience
  • Produce internal tools to monitor business performance and reliability
  • Provide customer support, testing, and bug fixing
  • Test and evaluate new features, enhancements, and capabilities
  • Evaluate usage, feedback and integrity of the IBU’s offering, providing a feedback loop to leadership.
  • Support the cyber security and technical compliance and regulations required for international business operations
  • Work closely with other Slingshot developers and software engineers to ensure any collected data is meeting the requirements, and integrity, of the business
  • Support the ongoing integration of data from the Intelligence team into the wider Slingshot Product offering.
  • Contribute to technology development by proposing and evaluating models and new experimental approaches
  • Execute all position responsibilities in alignment with Slingshot’s core values, mission, and purpose

Minimum Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of industry experience,
  • Proficient in Microsoft technologies, including C#, SQL Server, Entity Framework and ASP.Net MVC Core, with a good knowledge of the .NET framework
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and familiarity with various design and architectural patterns
  • Understanding of steps to secure applications and websites
  • Understanding of code versioning tools such as GitHub

Preferred Skills

  • Proficient in risk mitigation and data security of digital assets
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to the market.
  • Space industry experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior executives
  • Proven ability to navigate complex technology landscapes and align technology initiatives with business objectives
