Space Forge is a fast growing advanced materials company. Our goal is to exploit the extreme temperature, microgravity and ultra-high vacuum conditions available in low earth orbit (LEO) to manufacture materials that cannot readily be grown terrestrially. Returning these materials to earth, we aim to revolutionise the semiconductor market and to make space work for humanity. To achieve this we have developed a range of technologies including the world’s first returnable and reusable satellite platform, the ForgeStar®.

The Space Forge team is deliberately made from individuals who are adaptable and willing to learn new skills quickly. We are now looking for an ambitious Senior Information Operations Support Engineer who is willing and able to adapt to the requirements asked of them whilst maintaining a good level of output quality. Additionally as a scale up, employees are sometimes asked to assist with duties beyond their nominal job description and we are looking for candidates who are happy to step up and try something new when needed.

What will you do?

  • Providing support & diagnosing + resolving technical issues
  • Azure AD, Intune, Autopilot, DHCP and DNS management
  • Rollout, deployment & migration of new technologies
  • Undertaking small-to-medium IT projects as instructed

Key responsibilities

  • Backup management
  • Patch management
  • Asset management
  • Network monitoring
  • Troubleshooting of end user hardware and software issues
  • Troubleshooting WiFi and infrastructure issues
  • Documentation of processes and procedures

Requirements

Your Profile

Technical skills:

Essential -

  • Experience with AzureAD, Intune and Autopilot
  • Experience supporting remote and local users via a ticketing system
  • Patch Management
  • Backup Management
  • PowerShell

Desirable skills:

  • Experience working in environments holding certifications such as Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001
  • Experience managing DHCP and DNS services
  • Experience maintaining managed WiFi Solutions
  • Experience managing Ubiquiti hardware
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience of network administration
  • Good organisational skills

Soft skills:

  • Able to communicate with teams working both in and out of the office;
  • Able to communicate professionally with customers and external stakeholders;
  • Resilient and adaptable to technical and non-technical roadblocks, as many are expected

This role is an office-based role with the option to work remotely (within the UK) one day a week (in line with business needs)
