About the role

Muon seeks an Supply Chain Manager / Master Scheduler to join our Engineering Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the MRP (Supply/Demand) process and reporting are accurate and timely, as well as, performing the Production Planning for Muon. The Master Scheduler / Planner role requires direct interface with the Engineering and Production Management teams requiring candidates to be local to the Bay Area. 

Responsibilities

  • Plan, lead and Improve, Supply Chain Planning, Ensuring both the Demand side, and Supply side, of the MRP process is robust (can be trusted to drive procurement and production activities)
  • Create and issue MRP Action Reports (Order Action Buy, and Order Action Make)
  • Work with the team on integration of PLM and MRP tools, and data verification
  • Create and issue material reports including  inventory reports and costed BOM,  working with the engineering and procurement teams to ensure that BOMs are complete
  • Create and manage Production Orders, interfacing with Production Management to gather lead times and drive Production Order closing to schedule.
  • Drive PO creation and execution for Production Order Outside processing and materials procurement
  • Support team with scaling cost saving initiatives and process improvement projects. Develop and maintain a supplier database to ensure a reliable source of goods and services
  • Monitor procurement activities to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on Production Order processes and procedures
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement function
  • Analyze market trends and stay up-to-date with industry developments to identify potential opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Support extended Supply Chain team with receiving, inventory and kitting activities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or 5+ years experience in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or 5+ years experience in supply chain management.
  • Proven experience in owning the MRP master schedule, materials planning and procurement management, preferably in a small company environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Nice-to-have Skills

  • Experience with MRP / MES tools (ION, Netsuite, Plex, SAP, Tulip, Infor, Epicor etc)
  • Experience in PLM tools (Duro, Arena, Teamcenter, Windchill etc)
  • Experience with BI / Query Tools (Power BI, Tableau, Domo, etc)
  • Experience with MRP/MES/PLM/ERP system qualification, data migration and stand-up.

Salary:

At Muon Space salary is only part of our total compensation package. In addition to salary, Muon Space provides equity compensation as well as benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k retirement plan, life insurance, and an employee development program. The salary range for this role is 100K-190K and will depend on a candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience as defined during the interview process.
