EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Principal Financial Analyst to support its North America Consumer Finance department. This position would be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong financial analysis background who thrives in a fast-paced and demanding environment. The successful candidate must also have strong communication skills and be able to interact well with all levels within the Company. 

Responsibilities:

• Primarily provide all aspects of financial support to the North America Consumer business group
• Proactively participate and provide leadership in consumer’s close, forecasting, reporting, and annual budget processes
• Proactively study financial and business data, identify trends and issues, and provide in-depth analysis to assist senior management in understanding business performance on a timely basis
• Promptly respond to senior management’s inquiries on financial analysis or ad hoc requests
• Assists both external and internal auditors to ensure successful completion of all audits and reviews timely.
• Proactively seek ways to improve existing reporting/forecasting/budgeting processes

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Accounting, Finance or related field
• 10+ years’ experience performing variance analysis and reporting. 

Preferred Requirements:

• Strong Excel & Financial Model Skills
• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail
• Experience using SAP General Ledger and Hyperion
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Certified Public Accountant
• Highly skilled in financial statements

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
