Senior Technician - Analytical Team

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technician to join our Analytical Team. This role is a critical component of our research efforts, with a focus on advanced analytical techniques such as Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LCMS) and agronomic analysis. The Senior Technician will collaborate closely with our Lead Analytical Chemist to contribute to our research and innovation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced analytical techniques, including LCMS, to assess the composition, nutritional value, and quality of cultivated plants.
• Support the Lead Analytical Chemist in developing and implementing analytical processes to optimize plant growth conditions and composition.
• Collaborate with the plant scientists to ensure the accuracy and reliability of analytical data.
• Assist in managing and maintaining analytical equipment and laboratory resources.
• Contribute to research projects related to plant growth, environmental impact, and crop performance.
• Conduct agronomic analysis to evaluate plant growth and performance.
• Assist in the interpretation of analytical results and provide technical support for data analysis.
• Maintain detailed records of experiments and analytical procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on various research projects related to sustainable agriculture and space exploration.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as chemistry, agronomy, or a related discipline.
• Substantial experience in analytical techniques, with expertise in LCMS.
• Strong knowledge of agronomic analysis and plant growth evaluation.
• Proficiency in laboratory equipment operation and maintenance.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Adaptability and a willingness to learn new techniques and technologies.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in a senior technician role.
• Familiarity with plant physiology and growth optimization.
• Experience in data analysis and interpretation.
• Knowledge of experimental design and statistical analysis.

Location:

This position is based in Paris, France, with occasional travel to our site at NASA Kennedy Space Center in the United States.
