ispace Technologies, US is a looking for a highly motivated and talented Propulsion Test Engineer to join its team. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Rapidly design, build, and operate high pressure fluid system test stands in a clean room environment.
  • Design and execute test plans to evaluate the performance of a hypergolic propulsion system.
  • Conduct performance testing, data analysis, and validation of propulsion components and systems.
  • Collaborate with design and systems engineering teams to optimize propulsion system performance.
  • Develop and maintain test procedures, safety protocols, and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to propulsion system testing.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and project meetings.
  • Provide technical expertise and support during the integration and testing phases of the propulsion system development and flight build.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering. We will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
  • 2+ years of experience in spacecraft and/or launch vehicle propulsion systems
  • Strong knowledge of propulsion system design, development, and testing.
  • Experience with data acquisition systems, instrumentation, and test equipment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with lunar or space mission propulsion systems.
  • Knowledge of hypergolic propellants and their handling.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and safety protocols for propulsion testing.
  • Experience with common industry standards for spacecraft structural and mechanical design, test and integration; including, but not limited to, AIAA S-080, AIAA S-081, NASA-STD-5001, NASA-STD-5017 & SMC-S-016.

Compensation and Benefits

  •  Competitive salary based upon experience - $95,000 - $105,000.The salary posted is a targeted range for budget of position.  Base compensation can be negotiated and will be commensurate with experience, skills, education, and training.
