AST SpaceMobile and our global partners are building the first and only space-based cellular broadband network to be accessible by standard smartphones. Called SpaceMobile, this ultra-powerful network is being designed to provide connectivity at 4G/5G speeds everywhere on the planet – on land, at sea and in flight.
Summary:
The Test Operator is responsible for testing AST SpaceMobile products including RF microwave components, packaged parts, and sub-assemblies. In this role you will take the lead to set up and calibrate test equipment, test production parts, troubleshoot issues and support testing of engineering samples as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Development of test procedures, processes, control software and data acquisition process
- Provide testing support via LabView or similar software program
- Conduct testing on space mechanisms using electronic testing equipment
- Assist teams in decision making for equipment needed
- Provide integration support of equipment
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Drivers License.
- US Citizen, Permanent Resident Card Holder, or Non-Citizen allowed to work for any employer.
- Internal demonstrated experience or relevant external experience.
- Familiarity with LabView programming or similar test control and data acquisition programs
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
- Service-oriented, flexible and enjoy working with a variety of staff.
- Detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines.
- Work independently and productively with minimum supervision and able to manage multiple projects.
- Stand 8+ hours/day.
- Read, write, and speak in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to clearly communicate with engineering, technical support, and management.
- Thorough understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturing.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using various electronic testing equipment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
