AST SpaceMobile and our global partners are building the first and only space-based cellular broadband network to be accessible by standard smartphones. Called SpaceMobile, this ultra-powerful network is being designed to provide connectivity at 4G/5G speeds everywhere on the planet – on land, at sea and in flight.

Summary:

The Test Operator is responsible for testing AST SpaceMobile products including RF microwave components, packaged parts, and sub-assemblies. In this role you will take the lead to set up and calibrate test equipment, test production parts, troubleshoot issues and support testing of engineering samples as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Development of test procedures, processes, control software and data acquisition process
  • Provide testing support via LabView or similar software program
  • Conduct testing on space mechanisms using electronic testing equipment
  • Assist teams in decision making for equipment needed
  • Provide integration support of equipment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • US Citizen, Permanent Resident Card Holder, or Non-Citizen allowed to work for any employer.
  • Internal demonstrated experience or relevant external experience. 
  • Familiarity with LabView programming or similar test control and data acquisition programs
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Service-oriented, flexible and enjoy working with a variety of staff.
  • Detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines.
  • Work independently and productively with minimum supervision and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Stand 8+ hours/day. 
  • Read, write, and speak in English. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to clearly communicate with engineering, technical support, and management.
  • Thorough understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturing.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using various electronic testing equipment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
