Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a PM&P DMSMS Engineer / Principal PM&P DMSMS Engineer.  This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program. 

This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You’ll Get To Do:

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Candidate will be responsible to perform full spectrum of corrosion management tasks on assigned system and sub-systems to ensure streamlined risk identification, risk mitigation, and tracking of corrosion issues during the design of weapon systems and equipment under an overarching Systems Engineering framework.
  • Candidate will develop/maintain/review & approve Process Specs, Design Drawings, Corrosion Prevention and Control Plans (CPCPs), PPSLs, PAMPLs of all design teams and their major sub suppliers and perform issue tracking and risk mitigation for all corrosion issues.
  • Candidate will review and process materials approval request forms and for research specifications and standards to support metals and corrosion engineering processes. Research technical, corrosion data sources using Government and commercial sources. Review and evaluate engineering solutions, design, and technical data for corrosion impacts. Follow Systems Engineering disciplines and processes. Assist in the Hexavalent Chromium prevention process. Applicant will be expected to maintain close coordination with several integrated product teams, provide detailed status to program leadership, participate in Corrosion Prevention and Advisory Board meetings, as required.
  • Candidate will be self-motivated, work under general direction, and work well in teams.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools is essential.  Candidate must be able to obtain and sustain a Secret Security Clearance.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

Required for the PM&P Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 2 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 0 years of experience with Master's degree

Required for the Principal PM&P Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 5 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 3 years of experience with Master's degree

Required for Both Levels:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
  • Must be eligible to obtain Enhanced Security Clearances within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
  • 4+ years of experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree in parts management obsolescence experience OR related professional/military experience working in an Engineering, Technical or supply chain position, experience with Air Force Global Strike Command
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong Communication skills (will need to write technical emails and be able to present technical data to personnel with various backgrounds)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Special Program Access
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Working knowledge of various NASA & Military performance documents required for the selection and screening of Space-level parts, including MIL-PRF-38534(Hybrids), MIL-PRF-38535 (microcircuits), MIL-PRF-19500 (semiconductors), MIL-PRF-123 (capacitors), M55342 (resistors), and various electrical interconnect systems.
  • Familiar with the selection and application electronic components in systems design
  • Excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward)

Salary Range: $56,600.00 - $85,000.00Salary Range 2: $69,600.00 - $104,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
