We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join our current team supporting the entire headquarters organization and our current and future customers. 

 

If selected, you will:

 

Procurement Management:

  • Adhere to Procurement processes, standards, and operational plans. 
  • Under general direction, facilitate activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure terms are in the organization’s best interest.
  • Prepare purchase orders, approve payments, and negotiate prices to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly, under general guidance. 
  • Monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.
  • Ensure products are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and at the right cost.
  • Maintain accurate data and scoring of vendors logs.
  • Support internal ISO audit activities.
  • Assure timely reporting of issues to the projects and procurement team.
  • Locate, analyze, and develop a consolidated supplier base to meet current and future needs.
  • Conduct the orderly closeout of Procurement operations, including settlement of claims and back-charges.

 Requisition Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management or Business, and three (3+) years of Procurement and Supply Chain Management experience.
  •  Experience in purchasing or subcontracts, including bid, evaluate, award cycle, execution of agreements, execution of changes, price and schedule negotiations, and commercial strategy.
  • Proven track record in cost reduction programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills to flow goals and directives and effectively communicate commercial solutions and concepts to procurement personnel and non-procurement personnel.
  • Ability to work in a complex schedule-driven work environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, Microsoft Excel proficiency, and proficiency in procurement systems.
