Job description

At project start-up, your focus will be the translation of the customers’ software product assurance, quality, and safety requirements (which are typically ESA ECSS-based) into a specific, pragmatic approach for the project.

You will then monitor the implementation of this approach during the different development phases and provide regular reporting on the progress, both as well to internal project management as to our customers and end customer ESA.

These activities are quite diverse and will include software criticality, safety and dependability analysis, gathering and interpreting quality metrics on the developed software, non-conformance handling, participation in formal customer reviews, support to test campaigns etc.

As the projects’ software product assurance manager, you will also interface with the customer and provide him/her with regular reporting on the performed activities.

In addition to the above responsibilities at project level, you could be assigned to company level improvement projects on software aspects within our EN9100 Quality Management System.

Profile

Desired skills/experience/knowledge:

  • Master’s degree in engineering with a vast affinity for software engineering and processes.
  • Fluency in English; Fluency in Dutch is an advantage.
  • Good communication skills at all levels.
  • Knowledge of Procedural Oriented (ex. C) and/or Object Oriented (ex. C++) programming languages, ESA practices & standards ECSS-E-40/Q-80, NASA Space Software Standards and/or FPGA (VHDL) programming is an asset.
  • Enthusiastic, fast-learning, and result-oriented individual.
  • Effective team player.
  • A first experience in a related field is an asset, although specific coaching with regards to aerospace software requirements is foreseen.
