Title: Director of Manufacturing

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Range: $120,000 - $240,000

(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Position Purpose: The Director of Manufacturing will oversee the Manufacturing Division of the company, ensuring effective and efficient use of facilities and staff.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the manufacture of products, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Review’s production reports to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met.
  • Ensures a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations, through collaboration with environmental, health, and safety staff.
  • Oversees and participates in the recruitment, hiring, and training of manufacturing employees.
  • Oversees schedules and assignments for the division
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
  • Lead, assess, coach, and develop departmental leaders and staff
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy
  • Assists Executive Director of Operations with long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new and advanced technology.
  • Develop and monitor performance criteria to allow measurement and continuous improvement of manufacturing efficiency and quality, thereby ensuring on-time and error-free performance.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of all manufacturing
  • Identifies and shares training opportunities for staff to build and improve
  • Organizes departmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient
  • Delivers progress and production reports to executive team members as
  • Supervises equipment purchase, maintenance, and
  • Other responsibilities as

 

Required Qualifications/Education:

  • 10 years of experience in a management role of an aerospace manufacturing
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; Master’s degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent organizational and managerial
  • Thorough understanding of the policies and practices used in the manufacturing
  • Ability to set long-term goals and communicate them to
  • Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish
  • Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of



Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.  BCT anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.
