Job description

Our Mission - to fly to space twice in a day.

This is a substantial, complex project and we are looking for someone with strong technical experience and a track record of exceeding expectations.

What you will do:

  • Systems engineering on mission and system level including system product breakdown, and system sizing
  • Work closely with the project manager, system and sub-system owners, design engineers and operations
  • Use, improve and implement mission analysis tools
  • Author, review and maintain technical documentation
  • Collaborate with domain experts
  • Define and manage requirements
  • Define system interfaces and co-ordinate system and sub-system collaborations
  • Co-ordinate system assembly, integration, and verification
  • Support the flow of information from design through simulation and into final system verification, and mission flight.

Requirements

What you will bring:

  • An advanced qualification in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or similar
  • At least 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering, or engineering on a vehicle or platform with a variety of systems.
  • Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Great communication skills
  • Great knowledge of varied engineering disciplines
  • Ability to effectively and appropriately balance performance, resource use, risk, cost and schedule
  • Ability to work in an R&D environment
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Work well in high pressure environments
  • Detail oriented
  • High level of integrity.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Design experience
  • Manufacture experience
  • Testing experience
  • Knowledge of flight dynamics
  • Aerodynamics analysis
  • Familiarity with aircraft and space system design standards
  • Space launch system experience
