Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for a Principal User Applications Liaison to adapt functional business requirements and processes to technical solutions based upon comprehensive enterprise application solution sets. Enterprise resource planning and management processes, include but are not limited to: knowledge management, investment analysis, data warehousing, ecommerce, return on investment analysis, human resource analysis, material management and logistics, supply chain management, procurement, ordering, manufacturing, decision support, and information dissemination.

You should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable engaging with internal and external customers. You must be willing to travel domestically.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Sustainment code development of interfaces including but not limited to: DRRS-A (PBID), UllS AE, AESIP
  • Analysis of Help Desk Tickets (HDT) and appropriate follow-up actions
  • Sustainment of Property Book Workflows
  • New enhancements to the system in any of the areas utilized for Property Book (new functionality or changes to requirements)
  • Sustainment code upgrades to SAP ECC through application of Support Stacks / Packs (Analysis and testing) serve as a sustainment code expert for all property book functions and transactions.  The Sr. Application Development Engineer must have an understanding and perform sustainment code enhancements to the following processes:
  • Request and Provision (PO’s)
  • Maintenance Reports (e.g. UERL DAR, TAV etc.
  • Inventory Management (S & F)
  • Understand Software Development Methodology
  • Understand all relevant ARIS models for the Property Book processes
  • Understand the SAP Transactions Codes used in the Maintenance processes
  • Understand all process Interfaces, the Trading Partners / Systems involved, data being exchange and its use in downstream activities
  • Understand all process Enhancements, how they are triggered, what they do, and why enhancement was necessary
  • Understand all process Reports and how they are used in the process
  • Understand all process Forms, what triggers the generation of the form, and how the form is used in the process
  • Understand any Workflows used in the process and what approval/ control requirements they fulfill
  • Understand the Security Roles that can execute the maintenance processes and how that access is differentiated (i.e. ABC can display and park, while XYZ can approve/post)
  • Understand process monitoring that is required, troubleshooting process, and common remediation steps required
  • Understand integration points with processes in other Transaction Packages, Co-ordinate and work with teams / resources / organizations involved in the DFPS processes (e.g. Force Structure / Finance, Trading Partners for interfaces, development team for analysis of iDOC’s)
  • Understand the full lifecycle of the development process: Planning and Analysis (P&A), development (including required demonstrations), Testing and Promotion to Production.
  • Understand Key Integration Points with other Transition Packages (particularly DFPS and Maintenance)
  • Understand document artifacts required at each Release Technical Review Gate (e.g. Functional and Technical Specifications)
  • Prepare and submit necessary CRB documentation prior to promotion to Production
  • Understand requirements for post-implementation support and monitoring

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience OR Master's degree with 10 years of experience.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • At least 4 years’ experience in Army Property Book operations
  • Ability to write detailed technical specifications
  • Ability to debug and find the root cause for exceptions.  Participate in Government requirements discussions and demonstrations. Determine if identified scenarios are adequate to verify or application design, build and implement components for SAP for the Army
  • Solid experience designing and automating maintenance, repair and overhaul solutions for complex Army master data with thousands of serially tracked parts represented by a hierarchy of Integrated Product and Process Engineering(iPPE) technical objects
  • Configure SAP PM and related modules; develop scenarios for and test requirements

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of proven experience as an SAP Functional analyst/configuration analyst with at least 2 full lifecycle (end-to-end) SAP implementation A
  • Solid experience of SAP implementation methodologies and tools; SAP Solution Manager (SOLMAN), Agile, ASAP, IMG, Business Navigator is desirable solid experience on configuring PM/MM including understanding the integration points to Inventory, logistics and finance is plus
  • Solid SAP configuration experience in ECC. Create workarounds and drive alignment to workarounds in SAP ECC to reduce RICEFW•
  • Desired BA/BS in Math, Computer Science, Business/MIS or related field in lieu of Army experience

 

Salary Range: $88,600.00 - $133,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
