Job description
Duties
- Serves as the Business Manager for the International Space Station Research Integration Office, responsible for integrating cost, schedule, and technical requirements into an effective performance plan.
- Serves as Research Integration Office chief of staff, providing advice to senior leadership to enhance overall team efficiency. Provides management with counsel and other inputs to guide strategic decision making and overall organizational strategy.
- Serves as lead for Internal Task Agreement development and management for all agreements administered by the ISS Research Integration Office. Coordinates the annual development and maintains a library of Internal Task Agreements.
- Provides leadership to the business integration functions within the organization; plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless integration of business processes and activities within the organization and for external stakeholders.
- Oversees annual Program Planning and Budget Execution process, including formulation, execution, and tracking. Provides regular analyses and risk trades, as well as reports and other summaries to senior leadership regarding performance.
- Facilitates efficient operations and enhances the overall effectiveness for the organization; manages interface and work for budget analysts supporting the organization.
- Manages the Research Integration Office integrated budget liens and threats master list, and develops mitigation plans and recommendations to Research Integration Office senior leadership.

Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-15 level, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:
- Performing budget formulation and execution activities, to include, providing budget variance analyses to senior leadership, elevating risks to accomplishing the organization's budget goals, and making recommendations to inform decision making;
- Performing business management for an office including, monitoring contractor performance, tracking and evaluating budget liens, and/or assessing and communicating budget status and risks;
- Providing support and assistance in office day to day operations, such as, office efficiency, presenting and communicating to external stakeholders and program managers, integrating among internal stakeholders, and maintaining good communications with others offices.

You must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible for this position. To be eligible, you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks in a position no more than 1 grade lower than the advertised position. (Please submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. If your eligibility for both merit promotion and/or time-in-grade cannot be determined, your application will be rated ineligible.)
