Your Project In this role as a Deputy Project Manager you will work independently and as part of a cross-functional team comprised of the Project Manager, another Deputy PM and technical experts supporting an established and growing Intelligence Community (IC) mission. You will need to quickly understand complex technical concepts and make assessments, and then articulate your recommendations to the customer. 

You will be responsible for the successful management and oversight of various facets of this complex project; monitoring and tracking all aspects of team travel, managing a diverse team of direct employees, and working in tandem with the Project Manager. A successful candidate works well with a team and communicates professionally to customers, stakeholders, and teammates. A strong mission focus is essential, as our diverse set of customer stakeholders on this project have critical national security mission imperatives.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and assistance in the development of mission critical technologies. 
  • Develop, process, and evaluate a wide range of technical data.
  • Assist the Project Manager in the management of project operations to ensure production schedules are met, system resources are used effectively, and that proper relationships are established between customers.
  • Responsible for all travel related functions, to include approvals, forecasts, costs, and required reporting.
  • Maintain awareness of the project’s costs, schedule, performance, and risks, to include forecasts, invoices, EACs, and MSRs.
  • Supervise staff operations and perform personnel management of employees to facilitate their day-to-day duties, as well as support their professional development and career growth. 
  • Mentor and manage a group of technical leads and task managers.
  • Responsible for collection of new customer requirements in relation to procurement or travel.

You must have

  • 6+ Years relevant professional experience in intelligence collection, management, and knowledge of the military hierarchy and work culture 
  • Active TOP SECRET with CI-Poly security clearance  
  • Experience including, but not limited to intelligence collection, CONOP and mission development, and team management.

Desired: 

  • Experience in project management in support of the DoD and preferably the IC.
  • CONOP and mission development experience  
  • Ability to develop and manage relationships with the customer and staff.
  • Experience leading teams of technical experts in support of the DoD and preferably the IC.
  • Experience leading large teams.
  • Experience working with subcontractors.
  • Experience working with operationally-oriented customers

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$132,000.00 - $220,000.00 annually.
