NEUTRON

ORBITAL TUBE WELDER

Based out of Rocket Lab Headquarters in Long Beach, California the Orbital Tube Welder will weld and fabricate various fluid systems and sub-assembly components for the Rutherford and Archimedes Rocket engines.

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:

Follow procedures to set up and operate the Orbital Weld System
Weld assemblies according to work orders, blueprints and verbal instructions
Use of inspection gauges
Follow blueprints and to meet product specifications within tight tolerances
Maintain a clean work area

YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS AS AN ORBITAL TUBE WELDER

5+ years of experience in Orbital Tube Welding
High School diploma or GED
Experience with the following materials: Inconel, stainless steel and aluminum

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:

Knowledgeable in Part QA processes and dye penetrant testing
High-level of manual dexterity skills and hand-eye coordination
Proficient in reading blueprints and layout
Able to maintain a clean, safe and efficient work area.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Willing to work 1st shift (Monday-Thursday 5:30am - 3:30pm)
Ability to travel and communicate outside of work hours
Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
Repetitive assembly operations, grasping, standing, lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position.
Must be able to move repetitively, bend or twist, and use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls.
Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods – 8 hours min 
Must be able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted.

Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base Pay Range (CA Only)

$20—$30 USD
