Job description
The Vendor control specialist will be responsible for Procurement activities and QCD management of ispace's vendors. The suitable candidate will also promote and protect long-term business relationships with ispace's supplier base.
Responsibilities
- Selecting foreign/domestic suppliers, working closely with Engineering & QA Depts, and making surveys to assess vendors’ suitability.
- Negotiation of quoted price and contractual conditions, based on the allocated project budget.
- Concluding Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and Terms & Conditions (Basic Contract) with suppliers .
- Issuing Purchase Orders (POs) and purchase specifications, for Components, Subcontractors, Facilities, Software, etc.
- Monitoring all main milestone events, ensuring adherence to the contracted delivery date (including conducting Kick-off meetings), and on-time handling of invoice payments.
- Import and export of hardware components (documentation, export control check, shipping instruction, managing customs issues, etc.)
- Controlling R&D budget and actual cash-out.
- Operating ERP system: Data entry/control, supporting engineers to issue PO, monthly account closing.

Basic Qualifications
- 3 minimum of experience in procurement / purchasing
- Excellent communication skills, in both Japanese and English.
Preferred Qualification
- Experience in the Aerospace, Automotive, or any other manufacturing industry.
- Experience negotiating contractual clauses.
- Experience with both domestic and international logistics arrangements
- Experience with Project Budget control
