Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Firefighter 3 at our Promontory, Utah location. The Firefighter will work a 48/96 schedule as part of a shift team.

The Firefighter will provide fire prevention, protection, and a safe and effective emergency response to personnel and facilities. The Firefighter will fill in during the captain’s absence and oversee crew compliance to company organizational instructions and department standard operating procedures, daily fire reports, fire equipment response readiness, and act as Incident Commander in the absence of a senior fire officer.

Other responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting in the administration of emergency medical treatment.
• Inspection of building fire systems, conducting motor test standbys, burning ground standbys, training, flare drops, special assignments, animal control, and evacuation drills.
• All other duties assigned.

Basic Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent and four years of emergency response experience.
• Current State certification as Fire Fighter I, Fire Fighter II, Wildland Firefighter I, Hazardous Materials-Operations.
• Certified Advanced EMT.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces, elevated areas and hazardous locations wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Must be able to meet sight, hearing, and physical response comparable to NFPA 1582 chapter 6 and chapter 9.
• Current/valid driver’s license.

Preferred Requirements:

• Apparatus Driver Operator – Pumper.
• Utah Type 3 and 4 Fire Extinguisher certification.
• Fire Instructor I.
• Fire Inspector I/Company Inspector I.
• 3 years’ experience at Northrop Grumman Fire Department (ATK/Orbital ATK).

Salary Range: $49,900.00 - $83,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
