NGC is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Tech Services Engineer - Site lead at Camp Blaz in Guam to oversee the daily operations of our hardware facilities, ensuring the efficient and effective management of all hardware-related activities. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in hardware systems, excellent project management skills, and the ability to lead a team of technical professionals.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
 

  • Responsible for the overall management of contract related Performance Work Statement (PWS) tasks associated with the Relay Ground station Asia (RGS-A)
  • Management of all operations and maintenance personnel assigned to RGS-A
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including System Administrators, software development, and logistics, to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software systems
  • Responsible for the execution of all site-related ancillary and additional duties to include: COMSEC, Tech Orders, Tools, PMEL, GFE/GFP, Safety, Training, etc.
  • Responsible for all assigned activities at the RGS-A and will ensure that all personnel follow approved US Space Force and management operational directives
  • Responsible to ensure Configuration Management of all site equipment, hardware/software updates to include downloading of updates and notification of issues.
  • Support Integration Test (IT),  Functional Qualification Test (FQT), and Installation Qualification Test (IQT).

This position may require travel to Boulder, CO for additional training depending on the skillset of the selected candidate.

Please note this position does not include a relocation stipend. Candidates should be local to Guam or willing to relocate at their own expense.

This requisition may be filled as either a Principal or Sr. Principal Tech Services Engineer.

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Tech Services Engineer:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years with a Master’s degree; 0 years with a PhD. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 3 years of experience with remote satellite tracking stations and understand satellite command and control elements and functions
  • Satellite tracking station experience that includes operations and maintenance support for non-geostationary constellations
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance, and ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance

Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Tech Services Engineer:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of relevant experience; 7 years with a Master’s degree; 4 years with a PhD. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5 years of experience with remote satellite tracking stations and understand satellite command and control elements and functions
  • Satellite tracking station experience that includes operations and maintenance support for non-geostationary constellations
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance, and ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Currently or previously SCN operations and maintenance qualified/certified
  • Experience at overseas locations is desirable
  • Ideal candidate will have multiple years of experience at an SCN Remote Tracking Station performing operations and maintenance as a Site Manager, Chief of Operations, and/or Chief of Support

Salary Range: $88,600.00 - $133,000.00Salary Range 2: $109,900.00 - $164,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
