Job description

Your Mission

As Flight Safety Analyst you will work within the Flight Safety team and you will perform risk assessments and contribute to the development of the flight safety toolset, in the frame of the licensing process and launch operations.

More specifically, you will:

  • Conduct simulation campaigns for upcoming Spectrum missions
  • Update, optimize, and maintain the Flight Safety Tools used by the Flight Safety Team in the analysis and during the operations
  • Perform sensitivity analysis on flight safety topics to optimize the mission analysis process
  • Perform risk assessments on Flight and Ground operations
  • Coordinate with the team the different submission deadlines for the licensing application
  • Write and maintain technical documentation for the tools and licensing process

 Who you are and what you have

  • Master’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, numerical methods/scientific programming or similar
  • At least 1 year of experience in launch trajectories optimization/simulations in professional, student group or academic settings
  • At least 1 year of experience in preparation 3DoF of Atmospheric/orbital flight propagation algorithms in professional, student group or academic settings
  • Proven experience in one of the following languages: MATLAB/Python/FORTRAN/C++
  • Present complex issues in a clear and insightful manner
  • Highly organized with high attention to detail
  • Effective team player adjusting self-sufficiently and quickly to a changing work environment
  • Fluent English

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with DRAMA, ASTOS, STK, OPTAX, 6DoF simulations, etc
  • Familiarity with regulations and standards such as CFR part 450 and/or FSOA(LOS), RCC 319/321/324
  • Experience with other topics like Space Debris, Re-entry
  • Experience in Ground Safety and risk assessments
