About the Role

Are you technically savvy and enjoy solving equipment and systems issues? Join our team! As a Test Technician II, you will be using your skills and expertise to perform standard testing processes on a variety of our equipment and analyze the results. You'll be responsible for performing test and fault isolation on our systems and equipment to ensure conformance with our product specifications. You'll work closely with engineering teams and provide recommendations to resolve testing problems, roadblocks, or equipment malfunctions that impact the performance or validity of testing.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in a related field of study and at least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
  • Basic understanding of test concepts and techniques
  • General experience with standard laboratory test, calibration and other measurement equipment


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Skills in tube flaring, swaging, bending, and installing is highly preferred -Experience with bending tube; AN, Swagelok, and NPT fittings; panel fabrication
  • Experience with cryogenic systems such as Liquid Oxygen, Liquid Nitrogen or Liquid Hydrogen
  • Experience in precision cleaning, and Lox clean standards
  • High aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Experience with hand and power tools
  • Associate's degree with a focus on Electronics
  • Familiarity with MIL Standard 810 Test Standards
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military

Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:

  • Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps
  • Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity
  • Requires vision abilities to include close, distance, depth perception, and telling the difference between colors


Safety Sensitive Position

  • Responsible for the safety and security of people or property
  • Inspects, handles, or transports explosives, dangerous or hazardous materials
  • Inspects structures, equipment or vehicles
  • Operates or supervises vehicles, heavy or dangerous equipment or machinery

Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

Estimated Starting Salary Range:

$22.17 - $30.49
