Mission Managers additionally provide technical support on business proposals, track and deliver on contractual mission requirements, create interface control documentation, and host customer meetings/reviews. Mission Managers also work closely with ABL’s Payload Integration team to ensure that payload accommodations and integration activities are designed to meet customer requirements. We are looking for team members who enjoy a variety of challenges, can communicate effectively, thrive in a fast-paced environment and share our passion for creating a seamless and premier end-to-end customer integration and launch experience.

- Create Interface Control Documentation (ICD) and generate requirements for payload-to-launch vehicle interfaces and ground processing
- Lead, perform, and drive requirements verification and validation activities
- Support ABL’s Payload Integration team with development of payload integration plans and procedures and provide oversight of execution of those procedures at the payload processing facility and/or launch site
- Provide day-of-launch on-console support representing customer constraints and interests
- Understand ITAR and abide by U.S. regulations while interfacing with foreign external parties
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field
- 1+ years prior experience in Mission Management, Mission Integration, or Technical Program/Project Management
- 5+ years prior engineering experience in a related field such as systems engineering, project/program management, payloads, spacecraft subsystems, or launch operations
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Active TS/SCI or DoD Secret clearance, or willingness to pursue a clearance
- Prior project management experience, including work with MS Project or other schedule management tools
- Experience using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software (such as Siemens NX)
- Prior experience in sales, business development, or other direct experience with external customers
- Experience using requirements management software such as JAMA, DOORS, Jira, or similar tools
- Prior experience working with the US Government
- Prior hands-on experience on a technical project
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work extended hours to meet milestones and deadlines
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time for launch operations and customer-related activities (such as fit checks or industry conferences)
