The Deployables Operating Unit, an organization within Northrop Grumman’s Payload and Ground Systems (PGS) division, Mission Enabling Products (MEP) is a leading designer, producer, and supplier of spacecraft components that power and enable satellites of all classes. Products include spacecraft panels, bus structures, precision optical structures, deployable structural systems and mechanisms, solar arrays, and antenna reflectors. Our products are on virtually every U.S. satellite built in the last 20 years.

Northrop Grumman’s Space sector is seeking an Administrative Assistant 2 to support the Deployables Operating Unit in Oxnard, CA.
Roles and responsibilities:
Coordinate a broad variety of operating unit events, meetings, and teleconferences
Support the employee experience by creating a meaningful atmosphere for new and established employees
Support new hire onboarding
Manage multiple priorities and actions simultaneously
Manage and support executive calendars, schedule meetings, and meeting facilitation in close coordination with other administrative assistants across the division and sector
Arrange travel for leadership team and process expense reports in a timely manner
Assist in presentation creation and operating unit communication
Arrange and execute support for a variety of meetings and luncheons, including conference room reservations and catering
Order and manage inventory of office supplies
Support the security team by greeting and escorting visitors, including back-up support for other administrative staff as needed
Timecard Administrator – ensuring employees timecards are completed accurately and timely
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2+ years’ professional experience as an Administrative Assistant
Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Proactive with the ability to anticipate business needs
Highly motivated and adaptable, including the ability to juggle multiple tasks, changing needs, and competing priorities in a positive manner
Intermediate to high level of proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Attention to detail with experience proofreading and correcting documents for grammatical and spelling errors.
Experience with travel and expense reporting systems
US Citizenship required
Preferred qualifications
Familiar with Northrop Grumman (NG) policies and procedures
Familiar with NG systems (Concur, iBuy, iTrip, and other NG tools)
Proficient in business and travel expense system (Concur or similar) with complex, frequently changing travel
Strong document preparation skills
