About the Role
Do you enjoy developing new products and services? Join us! Our Software Engineers work in an agile, collective environment. You will be using your skills and expertise to define, design, develop, test, certify and improve cutting-edge software products. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of systems and software throughout our development process. Your technical duties involve the design and development of new software products throughout the product lifecycle.About You

What to look forward to: As a Software Quality Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to ensure all software assurance and software quality standards are met for our aerospace products, along with the test, laboratory, ground & production software systems that support those products. You will be responsible for the safety and quality of our software processes and products in development, integration, testing, configuration, anomaly tracking and resolution, and developing quality acceptance criteria.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
Understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools
Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience on teams that manage the disposition of software bugs, software enhancements, and other kinds of software changes requests, including documentation, tracking and resolution of these items
Experience working on Scrum teams or within other Agile lifecycle methodologies
Experience with development of embedded software products and integration of software into hardware systems
Practical experience with software configuration management best practices
Practical knowledge of software engineering principles and practices
Experience with software or system testing, including developing test plans, executing test procedures, and generating test reports
Experience with organizing and conducting audits (internal or external) to measure compliance against standards or process requirements
Practical knowledge of aerospace, or highly regulated software quality standards
Experience with requirements tracing within software development projects, including requirements hierarchies, design elements, and verification events (e.g. tests)
Experience with the following kinds of tools:
- Agile project tracking software, like Jira
- Software change management and/or bug-tracking tools
- Software configuration management (version control) tools
- Database tools, including SQL
Experience with software programming in languages such as C, C++, Python, MATLAB, Perl, or Java
Practical knowledge of software CMMI practices, maturity levels, and best practices
Practical knowledge of Quality System requirements and contract quality requirements
Experience with safety or hazards analysis, risk ratings, and risk mitigation strategies
Experience in the aerospace and defense industry

Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.

Estimated Starting Salary Range:
