Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an AVE Requirements, Interfaces, and Architecture Senior Manager 3.  This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel Program. 

This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. 

What You’ll Get To Do

The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the RIA teams to develop and mature the AVE level artifacts along with comprehensive oversite of all AVE Segment RIA artifacts. This includes specification development, verification planning and execution, interface requirement specifications and design definition, and architecture modeling. This also includes cost account management activities. Artifacts are to be developed according to program Statement of Work and program/company governance. The RIA lead is responsible for developing Contract Deliverables (CDRLs), preparing for the AVE level technical reviews/milestones (e.g., CDR, FCA, SQVR) and supporting the lower-level IPT milestones.

In accordance with Northrop Grumman leadership values, the RIA lead will provide leadership guidance and support by helping their team develop skills, set goals, and resolve issues, both individually and programmatically. The candidate will also work with the SE&I director and SE&I senior team to contribute to develop and execute the AVE SE&I vision, goals, and programmatic activities.

The RIA lead will demonstrate strong leadership skills. He/she will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business. This candidate will have the ability to build diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, and the ideal candidate will have demonstrated success collaborating and leading engineering teams through the full life cycle of a development program (including modern digital and model-based practices and methods).

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Job Qualifications

You’ll Bring These Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 8 years related experience or Masters Degree in STEM and 6 years related experience.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance with an in-scope investigation date within the last 6 years. 

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Enhanced Security Clearances within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs

  • Minimum of 3 years in a formal lead/management position 

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance or higher 

  • Missile experience

  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience.

  • Experience through full life cycle of a development program.

  • Strong understanding of SE&I process, including SE&I experience across multiple levels of integration & program lifecycles.

  • Technical depth in at least one flight product areas: Post-Boost Altitude Control Module, On-Board Test Equipment, Propulsion Systems, and Guidance & Control.

  • Strong customer communication skills.

Salary Range: $156,000.00 - $234,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
