As a Lead Scrum Master, you will support the increasing need to protect our national security through the development of products and solutions in an agile environment. Working on strategically important National Defence Programmes, the Lead Scrum Master is accountable for the effectiveness of their teams. You will do this by supporting the adoption and application of lean-agile practices, both within your teams and the wider organisation, through coaching, mentoring and facilitating.
Our UK Defence business is a Sovereign software and systems centre of excellence. As well as developing and supporting UK wide and internationally deployed multi-domain command and control systems, our work is critical to the modern backbone of the Royal Navy. Responsibilities:
- Act as a servant-leader and facilitator to support teams in the day-to-day operation of their lean-agile practices or work with several teams in an advisory / coaching and assurance capacity
- Actively facilitate team-of-teams events (e.g. Program Increment Planning) and supporting activities such as roadmap development to ensure that the relevant objectives are achieved
- Support the team in identifying and addressing impediments to the attainment of goals, including taking action to remove impediments where appropriate
- Lead on the identification of training and development needs, for the team as a whole and for individual team members as required
- Support teams or individuals to improve performance and achieve goals through training, coaching and mentoring

We are looking for:
- Practical experience of servant-leadership in agile teams
- Thorough knowledge of agile principles, practices and methods, particularly Scrum
- Excellent organisational and facilitation skills
- Holds an advanced Scrum Master certification e.g. PSM II / III, SASM
- Experience of Agile Coaching or qualifications including ICP-ATF, ICP-ACC or ICE-AC
