Located in Falls Church, VA, this leader will be expected to drive growth and be responsible for delivering an extraordinary customer experience across our domestic and global customer environment infusing strategic focus and messaging into all elements of customer engagement.
Responsibilities include to:
Develop, coordinate, and implement international policy and outreach initiatives to drive international business growth.
Build, maintain, and expand effective relations with relevant government stakeholders and regulatory bodies on international business matters.
Represent company before policymakers, industry associations, allied groups, and other constituencies on international business matters where company has expertise to inform sound government policy.
Provide practical and strategic advice to leadership on global regulatory policies, including but not limited to export/ITAR, nonproliferation/MTCR, and Foreign Military Sales. Provide recommendations to company executives on international policy matters.
Understand the national security policy formulation processes, key actors, and timelines in the US and relevant foreign countries. Understand customer buying processes, behaviors, plans, and historical context.
Provide the Division, Business Units (BU), Functions and Sector teams with timely and accurate disclosure and technology transfer expertise and process guidance. Understand the relevant foreign disclosure policies of the military services, and the processes to adjudicate Exceptions to National Disclosure Policy (ENDP) if needed.
Provide coordination and advice to the Division, Business Units (BU), Functions and Sector teams supporting priority international efforts. Provide early identification of policy challenges through the interagency processes.
Create, maintain and implement customer engagement plans to gain support for international business efforts from government officials. Integrate senior executive leadership into policy efforts.
Shape US Government and relevant allies’ national security policies around coproduction and codevelopment. Identify potential policy barriers to partnerships on emerging technologies including space.
Evaluate US Government defense security cooperation and partner capability building policies. Identify potential funding and resources for partnerships including cooperative research and development agreements and international armaments cooperation agreements.
Maintain awareness and sufficient knowledge of Northrop Grumman products, programs and capabilities in order to provide requisite counsel and assistance in furthering business objectives.
Collaborate with other corporate functions such as strategy, communications, legal, and business development to achieve shared goals.
The selected candidate should be self-driven and thrive in fast-paced work environment with high expectations, diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels, including executive leadership. Seeking a high energy, strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to operate at both a strategic and a hands-on level, as needed.
Basic Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to build and foster effective relationships with others, including ability to interact effectively with senior level management.
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 20 years of related experience
Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include political-military affairs, security assistance, foreign disclosure and export control, technology and information transfer, and cooperative research development and acquisition.
Minimum of 5 years of in-depth experience in security cooperation to include developing coordinated positions on US export policy through the interagency processes.
Must be eligible and have the ability to obtain and retain a TS/SCI clearance
