Maxar is currently looking for a Staff Accountant to join the Accounting team in Herndon, VA.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all aspects of cash receipts in Deltek Costpoint – entering, reviewing, and researching.

• Daily monitoring of cash transactions from banking system.
• Reconcile assigned GL accounts monthly.
• Enter assigned projects and review setup for all project types (CPFF, T&M, FFP) to ensure SOX compliance.
• Monitor inflow of project setup requests and resolve any issues to ensure timeliness.
• Monitor inflow of project closeout requests and perform closeout analysis as needed.
• Assist in external and internal audit requests.
• Assist in monthly close procedures.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance and/or equivalent years of experience
• CostPoint and government contract experience
• 2-5 years of experience in accounting

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$64,000.00 - $108,000.00 annually.
