Job Overview & Responsibilities

This role is for a Mission Integration Lead on the Artemis / ICPS program reporting to the ULA Chief Engineers Office. The Mission Integration Lead will drive rigorous Systems Engineering and Technical Integration across the mission/program.

Responsible for:

  • Overall technical and schedule integration for the mission.
  • Drives overall systems engineering processes, including requirements development and verification, risk, issue, and opportunity management, and trade study development and management.
  • Drives system and sub-system Cross-Technology/IPT Integration and coordination.
  • Proactively communicates with Program and Mission Management on emerging issues, strategic opportunities, concerns, etc.
  • Ensures input data/resources are coordinated and documented in the project schedule.
  • Engages and gets approvals of technical authorities (CREs, CEs, etc.), as needed.
  • Coordinates programmatic-related systems engineering and integration items with the Program Office.
  • Develops, oversees, and executes the mission roadmap, including system-design reviews and Mission Readiness Review Processes.
  • Prioritizes System Engineering Team work.
  • Evaluates Mission Risks and elevates risks for coordination and decision by Chief Engineers and responsible engineers.
  • Leads team of systems engineers performing requirements management and verification.
  • Initial Assignment is to Lead the Artemis III Mission Integration for ULA.

Required Education

Bachelor

Required Years of Experience

Minimum of 8 years of related work experience

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience generating, allocating, and verifying requirements.
  • Experience with issue resolution and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering and Integration processes and tools.
  • Experience with system level design reviews or major gate reviews (e.g. SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.) and presenting to a diverse customer audience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced understanding of launch vehicle systems.
  • Experience with NASA programs and customer interfaces.
  • Experience with Human Rated Launch Vehicle Systems.
  • Experience with launch vehicle to space vehicle mission integration processes.

Summary Salary Range (for ULA - Denver only): $120,381.00 - $188,060.00

Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
