Vast is looking for a Manager, Talent Operations, reporting to the Senior Manger, Talent Acquisition to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations.

This will be a full-time, exempt position located in our Long Beach Office.

The Manager, Talent Operations is responsible for managing our talent coordination team, leading vendor management for our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, and various Talent Acquisition tooling. You will play a critical role in optimizing our scheduling and assessment processes through automation and strategic tool implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the talent coordination team, ensuring efficient operation and high performance.
  • Oversee vendor management for our ATS, CRM, Contingency and Temp Agencies, and other HR-related tools, including contract negotiations and performance assessments.
  • Design and manage the scheduling and assessment processes, exploring opportunities for optimization through automation and innovative tooling.
  • Conduct and analyze NPS surveys to gauge candidate and hiring manager experiences, implementing and suggesting improvements based on feedback.
  • Develop and maintain recruiting metrics and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to update and enhance the career site, ensuring it reflects our brand and attracts top talent.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of management experience and 3+ years of experience working in Recruiting Operations at a rapidly growing company

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in talent operations, particularly in tech or aerospace industries.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and complex projects.
  • Expertise in vendor management and HR systems (ATS, CRM).
  • Proficiency in SQL, Looker, or similar data analytics tools is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working cross-functionally to achieve business goals.
  • Innovative thinker with a focus on continuous improvement and using technology to enhance processes.
Salary Range: California
$100,000$144,000 USD

Base salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand. Salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package. The person hired will have access to information and items subject to U.S. export controls, and therefore, must either be a “U.S. person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.
